From joyful singalongs with the Caboolture Choir to cheeky laughs during Rummi King, June at Woodford Manor was filled with warmth, connection, and community spirit.
At Woodford Manor Aged Care, June 2025 was a month to remember; filled with laughter, music, creativity, and heartfelt moments that brought residents, families, and community friends closer together.
We kicked off the month with a special visit from the Caboolture Choir, whose beautiful harmonies lit up the home. Residents joined in for a good old-fashioned singalong, with some even showing off their dance moves! The choir also generously gifted us with warm winter blankets, just in time for the cooler weather.
Next came one of our favourite intergenerational highlights, our regular visit from the Oak Tree Academy students. Their curious questions and bright smiles sparked meaningful conversations, especially when one young boy asked about Mopsie’s cherished heart-shaped pendant.
The laughs kept coming with Rummi King, where competition was fierce and fun was the name of the game. Our ladies took the win this time, and the banter nearly made everyone miss lunch!
We also got loud for the State of Origin party, cheering on our teams with plenty of footy spirit, a few “sin bins,” and loads of camaraderie.
From strumming tunes at Strummania to hands-on creativity in the Men’s Workshop making toys, June was packed with energy, joy, and a strong sense of community.
Here’s to more heartwarming moments next month at Woodford Manor!
