April at Woodford Manor Aged Care was unlike any other month in recent memory. Between a landmark glamour shoot (or two), a snooker final six months in the making, a casino day that ended in glorious defeat, and an ANZAC Day service of quiet dignity, the month managed to be genuinely surprising at almost every turn - and the residents were at the centre of every moment.
