From an Alice in Wonderland high tea to colourful NAIDOC Week art and circus-themed games, July was filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit. Residents enjoyed birthdays, outings, and even a quirky toilet roll State of Origin! With the Ekka Art Competition nearing, the excitement is still growing.
July was brimming with celebrations and creativity. We marked Alice in Wonderland’s 160th Anniversary with a high tea, joined by the Mad Hatter and Queen’s Guards. World Chocolate Day brought sweet treats to bingo, and NAIDOC Week inspired colourful barramundi fish made from recycled buttons.
Residents enjoyed a playful State of Origin toilet roll game, celebrated Dawn and Betty’s birthdays, and ventured to the Strawberry View Coffee Shack with plans for a Dag Pub lunch. Men’s Afternoon saw projects progress over beers, and Rosie, our therapy dog, spread smiles.
With the Ekka Art Competition approaching, residents’ artwork is on display for voting, alongside daily circus costume guessing games.
