Our Winter 2025 newsletter The Woodford Wrap is here! From vibrant Ekka entries and creative NAIDOC Week projects to heartwarming visits, lively outings and whimsical celebrations, the past few months at Woodford Manor have been filled with joy, connection and community spirit. Take a look back at the special moments we shared together this season — each one brightening even the chilliest winter days.
This winter, Woodford Manor was alive with creativity, connection and celebration. Residents showcased their talents with vibrant Ekka entries, circus games and balloon flower crafting, while NAIDOC Week inspired cultural expression through button-decorated barramundi. Betty’s diamond dot cards brought both joy and generosity, raising raffle funds and helping fellow residents.
Highlights included a visit from Oak Tree Academy, music and blankets from the Caboolture Choir, and plenty of smiles from pet therapy pup Rosie. The men’s group continued their meaningful toy-making, while coffee catch-ups, lively games of Hoy, and outings to the Strawberry View Coffee Shack and a nostalgic pub lunch kept spirits high.
We also celebrated Aged Care Employee Day, thanking dedicated staff like Sue and farewelling lifestyle superstar Jenny. Seasonal fun came in many forms — from Mad Hatter’s Day high tea to State of Origin fever, World Chocolate Day, and special birthdays filled with flowers, cake and cheer.
It was a season filled with meaningful moments – big and small – and we’re so proud to share these highlights with you. Thank you to our wonderful community of residents, families and staff who made Winter at Woodford Manor so special.
